Arc Flash Hazard Area Question: A Qualified person is troubleshooting a motor starter which is part of a MCC. This person knows from a report of short circuit and coordination study that the magnitude of current for a bolted-fault at the main terminal of this MCC is 15KA and that the maximum time expected for clearing a fault of this magnitude is 0.5 second. the qualified person wants to start the motor with the starter-unit door open. what is the hazard risk category for this task ? |
