When attempting to set up an online connection to an S5 controller with STEP 5, you get the message "System message no. 0334". Then you can no longer set up an online connection to the CPU with STEP 5. <br><br>The reasons for the message can be the following: <br><br>The COM interface has the wrong parameters. <br>The COM interface is blocked by another software. <br>There is a PCMCIA modem in your PC card ***.<br>Remedy: <br><br>Remove any PCMCIA modem. <br>Open the "Device Manager" in Windows XP via "Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware tab". <br>Select the "Connections" or "Ports" entry. There you will find the "COM1" interface. Right-click on "COM1" and select the "Properties" item in the pull-down menu. Click the "Connection Settings" tab, then the "Restore" button and finally you click on "OK". <br>Now restart Windows. <br>Then you will be able to go online again with STEP 5.<br>Note:<br>The S5 online connection can also be blocked by mobile phone software (e.g. "Quick Sync", "Data Exchange", "Nokia Suite" or "Ericsson PC Suite").
